Minimal Maintenance
Heat pumps in general require very minimal maintenance to keep them running efficiently. They need checking regularly for leaks, and their filters often require cleaning. On top of this, it is recommended to keep the external heat pump free from debris to maximise efficiency. It is also recommended that they are inspected by a professional once every five years for their lifespan, which is typically up to 15 years.
Safer Alternative
Without the need for a gas or oil supply to the property, your home is much safer when set up with a heat pump system.
Versatility
Many heat pumps can be reversed in the summer to act as air conditioning units. This versatility is particularly attractive for those who want to benefit from a cooling system during warmer months, but don’t want to spend the money on an air conditioning system that may only be needed a few times a year!
